The Manchester City youngster started the opener against New Zealand in Rusteburg and although the Europeans were held to a shock 1-1 draw, the 20-year-old impressed on the wing.
And Weiss has revealed that although they were disappointed to drop two points against the All White they are remaining upbeat and he hopes to justify his selection by coach Vladimir Weiss senior by inspiring Slovakia to victory in Bloemfontein.
"It is difficult being the manager's son. I knew it was going to make it harder for me with my dad being the manager," said Weiss.
"But the players are okay with it and everyone is being as professional as they can be.
"The manager has been very positive and told us just to focus on the game (on Sunday).
"There was a lot of stress in that first game and some criticism back home after the result.
"But we are here to enjoy ourselves and with a little bit of luck we can do something against Paraguay."
