'DPR will come back stronger'
Korea DPR coach Kim Jong-hun believes his side will have been enriched by their experiences in South Africa
Despite a promising start to their World Cup campaign in a narrow 2-1 defeat to Brazil, the North Koreans finished bottom of Group G after a 7-0 demolition at the hands of Portugal and a 3-0 defeat to Cote d'Ivoire on Friday.
But their coach insists that although his side did not perform to the level they wanted before the tournament began he can take comfort from the knowledge they will improve with the experiences they have gained.
"We have participated at the World Cup," Kim said. "We did not manage to attain our goals but we played against Brazil and Portugal, two strong international teams.
"I believe that, though we did not have good results, this has laid the foundation for us to grow in the future.
"This has been a very useful experience for us and it is a wonderful opportunity for us to grow our football."
