Unsurprisingly, champions Spain were the number one side following their 1-0 victory over the Netherlands on Sunday.
England finished 13th, while New Zealand took a credible 22nd place, four ahead of Italy (26th) and seven ahead of France (29th).
The worst team on show were North Korea, who lost all their group games and were thrashed 7-0 by Portugal.
The rankings are based on performances at the finals, and take into account scorelines and how good the opposition were.
Of the teams exiting in the second round, England were placed behind Japan, Chile, Portugal and the USA.
You have to go back to 1958 for England's previous worse performance, when they finished 11th.
