Fifa visit bid countries

Fifa began inspections for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups on Monday

Officials toured sites in Japan, with further trips planned to bidding countries South Korea, Australia, the Netherlands/Belgium, Russia, England, Spain/Portugal, Qatar and the United States.

Japan, Qatar, Korea Republic, the USA and Australia are targeting the 2022 tournament, with Europe expected to land the 2018 event.

Fifa will make a decision in December with regard to both the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, partly based on a report they will receive from Chilean football federation president Harold Mayne-Nicholls, who is overseeing the current visits.
