Oberhausen's finest might be the world's favourite clairvoyant cephalopod, but Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not a fan.
Describing unlikely SA2010 star Paul as "decadent", Ahmadinejad insists that he is an advert for all that is wrong with the west.
"Those who believe in this type of thing cannot be the leaders of the global nations that aspire, like Iran, to human perfection, basing themselves in the love of all sacred values," he said in a speech in Tehran.
During the World Cup, Paul correctly predicted eight consecutive matches, seven of them involving Germany.
